1. What is this page for?
The News page allows you to write, edit, and schedule news articles displayed in the player lobby. You can provide wide banner pictures (1200 × 400 px), small square thumbnail pictures (400 × 400 px), formatted rich text with embedded images, and schedule exact start and end dates or run news indefinitely without a time limit. It is used by marketing and operations teams to publish promotional updates, tournament alerts, and bank maintenance notices.
2. Before you start
- Required permissions: You must be granted the 'News' permission by an administrator to access this page.
- Prerequisites:
- News title in Thai (required, up to 255 characters) and optional English title.
- Detailed article body (supports bold, italics, bullet lists, external links, and images, up to 65,535 characters).
- Optional visual assets (default artwork is used if omitted):
- Wide picture (Banner): Recommended 1200 × 400 px (3:1 ratio), up to 5 MB.
- Small picture (Thumbnail): Recommended 400 × 400 px (1:1 square), up to 5 MB.
- Start date and end date (or enable open-ended display).
3. Screen overview
When you open this page, you will see the following key areas:
- Page header: Displays the page title News, subtitle, and the Create news button.
- Phase tabs (Filter Tabs): Tabs filtering news by lifecycle: All news, Showing now (Green), Scheduled (Sky blue), Off / ended (Grey), and Deleted (Red).
- Search & Filter Bar: Search input by title, clear filters button, and an expandable advanced filter grid (Status, Created at, Updated at, Created by, Updated by).
- Summary & refresh bar: Refresh button and item count ("Showing 10 items").
- Data table: Displays order number, news title with thumbnail, lobby lifecycle phase, display period, last updated info, status switch, and action buttons.
- Pagination: Controls for changing pages and rows per page.

6. Step by step
1. Creating a new news article
- Go to Lobby pages > News in the left sidebar.
- Click Create news at the top right of the table.
- In the news form, fill in the required fields:
- Enter Title (Thai) (required) and optional Title (English).
- Enter article content in the Details rich text editor.
- In When it is shown: Pick a Start date and End date, or toggle No time limit on.
- Upload a Wide picture (1200 × 400 px) and a Small picture (400 × 400 px).
- On the right panel, verify the Status switch is On (Green) and check the Lobby preview.
- Click Save at the bottom right. The system displays a confirmation notification: "News created".
2. Editing a news article
- Locate the news item in the table.
- Click the pencil icon (Edit) or click directly on the news title.
- Update text, dates, or image assets.
- Click Save. The changes update in the lobby immediately.
3. Toggling news visibility
- Locate the switch in the Status column for that news row.
- Click the switch:
- Toggle to On (Green) to show the news (displays starting from its start date).
- Toggle to Off (Grey) to hide the news temporarily.
- The system confirms with "News switched on" or "News switched off".
4. Deleting a news article
- Switch the news item to Off (Grey) first.
- Click the 3-dots icon (...) in the Actions column and select Delete.
- In the red confirmation modal "Delete this news?", read the warning and click the red Delete button.
- The news is moved to the Deleted archive tab immediately.
5. Viewing archived deleted news
- In the news list table, click the Deleted tab (Red badge).
- The table displays only archived deleted news marked with a Deleted badge.
- You can click to view historical content, but deleted news cannot be restored or edited.

8. Popups and dialogs
1. Delete News Confirmation Dialog
- When it opens: When you click Delete from the row menu of an inactive news item.
- What you see: A red warning modal titled "Delete this news?", stating that the news and its uploaded images will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored, with red Delete and Cancel buttons.
- What to do: Confirm that you wish to remove the item and click the red Delete button.
- Result: The news is archived into the Deleted tab and removed from the active lobby.
2. Version Conflict Warning
- When it opens: When you click Save but another administrator updated this news item in the meantime (error code 1005).
- What you see: A message stating "Someone saved this news first. Please reload and try again".
- What to do: Click reload to fetch the latest revision.
- Result: The form refreshes with the latest content so you can make your edits again.
9. Statuses and badges

10. Frequently asked questions & troubleshooting
- Why is the Delete button disabled?
- Safety rules prevent deleting active news items. You must toggle the Status switch to Off before the delete option becomes active.
- Cannot switch news On due to "News has ended" error:
- The scheduled End date has already passed. Click the pencil icon to extend the End date into the future or toggle No time limit on before switching the status to On.
- What happens if I don't upload images?
- The lobby automatically uses default placeholder news artwork. The article card will display cleanly without broken images.
- The Save button is disabled:
- Check that all required fields marked with an asterisk are filled (Title (Thai) and Start date), and ensure the End date is not set earlier than the Start date.
