Roles

1. What this page is for

The Roles page is used to create and configure permission sets for staff members across the system. It governs which menus and features each position can view, create, edit, or delete. It also restricts access to sensitive data (such as passwords and player bank details), sets per-transaction deposit and withdrawal approval limits, and assigns team placement within the CRM module.

2. Before you start

  • Required permissions: You must have the 'Role' permission with 'View' access to inspect roles.
    • To create new roles, you need 'Role' permission with 'Create' access.
    • To modify existing roles, you need 'Role' permission with 'Edit' access.
    • To delete roles, you need 'Role' permission with 'Delete' access.
  • Rule of privilege delegation:
    • You can only give or revoke permissions that your own account holds. Any permission box you do not hold will be grayed out with a lock icon.
    • The agent's Owner account (Super Admin) automatically holds all system capabilities without needing a role assignment.
  • Prerequisites:
    • Define job boundaries (e.g. Customer Support, Finance, Marketing).
    • Determine minimum and maximum approval amount limits per transaction for finance staff.

From top to bottom, the page includes:

10. Frequently asked questions / Troubleshooting

  • Why is the status switch locked and grayed out?
    • The role currently has staff members assigned to it. System rules prevent disabling active roles. Reassign staff members under Staff List first, then return to switch off the role.
  • Why can't I delete a role?
    • Roles must be switched Off and have 0 staff holders before they can be deleted.
  • Why are some permission checkboxes grayed out with a lock icon?
    • You can only grant permissions that your own account currently holds. If you lack a permission, you cannot grant it to others. Request elevated rights from your administrator.
  • Red error border on financial limits:
    • The Lowest amount cannot be greater than the Highest amount. Check your numbers or enter 0 in both fields for unlimited amounts.
  • Do staff members need to re-login after a role is edited?
    • No. Permission changes apply immediately across all active sessions holding this role.
